Working on Night Raid

I currently work on Headless Chicken Games, a gamedevelopment studio located in Costa Rica.

I started working on Night Raid, a game about animals stealing food and messing around the boring humans life!

With this project I’ve been learning how to use Unreal Engine 4, lately we migrated the game to UE5.

I’ve been

  • Creating new mechanics like the shopping cart, supermarket doors, supermarket camera system, among others.
  • Bug fixing on blueprints.
  • Polished the interaction system of the game.
  • Tweaked the launching and movement mechanics of the characters.
  • Fixed bugs on AI, physics, mechanics, UI, etc.

Learned a lot not only about Unreal Engine but also about Blueprint scripting, UE4/5 classes, pawns, characters, controllers, game instance, etc.
